Unfortunately Denmark has a law regarding Online Purchase and or Payment of Subscriptions to Organisations with the use of Credit and or Direct Debit cards such as Visa. Card holders are required to have a 'NEM-ID' a form of special Password that is used online in dommunication with Govenment department Web sites and Net Bank.
Many people like myself were excused in that we do not use Net Bank or exchange sensitive personal information over the Internet.
So whenever I pay my subscription to Ipernity for example I use PayPal and my Visa Direct debit card.
This was refused today while attempting to Donate to the Crowd funding program.

There are however number of open questions:
1) Will the donation payed now cover our membership for the future, and for how long?
2) Will John get refund from Ipernity S.A. on already payed membership to them?
3) If I pay the donation on behalf of John, how we make sure he gets the benefits?
4) Do I still need to renew my membership for April (and longer) via Ipernity membership payments?
5) We have been told already that 10,000 € out the donation money goes to Amazon, to keep the service running. However, what exactly we members (donating people) get with that money?
William Sutherland club has replied to Sami Serola (inactiv… clubConsistent with Fotoblip the donation is purely to keep the site running so that we can participate without interruption and continue to use it. If anyone makes a donation on behalf of another person and receive compensation through paypal, make the donation in their name and they should get credit on the Indiegogo roll.
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to William Sutherland clubSami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to Nicolas Mertens clubAs far as I have understood this donation goes directly to pay the rents for Amazon. None of the money are not specifically marked as personal membership payments yet.
There are several open questions as I mentioned above. For example will any of us get refunds on Ipernity S.A. Club membership payments that are already payed(?) My Ipernity Club membership ends on April 4th. William advised me not to renew that via Ipernity pages anymore. We will see what happens to me after that...
And what will happen on the day when we hopefully get the fund collected to bale us out for March and April server costs(?) Will the situation become finally "locked" at some point, and people become asked to do the personal payments to confirm their IMA membership(?)
While waiting things sorted out, and also getting answers to many of our questions, I recommend we just try to get the crowd funding done in a way or another =)
William Sutherland clubUnfortunately we cannot use Paypal. Indiegogo the vendor determines method of payment and we have no say. I would have preferred to use my Paypal account but had to use a credit card.
Below are some common donation problems per Indiegogo and their statements re: donations:
Our site is not optimized for Internet Explorer 8.0 or earlier, so we recommend switching to Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. You can download both browsers for free at the following links:

I Can't Find My Country
If you can't find your country in the Billing Country drop-down menu when trying to donate to a fundraiser via credit card, your country may be one that we are currently unable to support.
Indiegogo Restrictions on Payment Type
At this time, we accept donations via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We do not accept pre-paid value cards.
Currency Restrictions
Indiegogo is a U.S. based company. At this time we only host direct credit and debit transactions in U.S. dollars ($).
Stormlizard club has replied to William Sutherland clubThere still is no guarantees the growdfunding will be successful. If it fails, the deal is over, IMA fails, generosity.com will pay the money back to each and every donor, and then individuals would need to pay back also the money to them whom they have helped.
So, if it is not a big deal to wait till campaign is over, then do so. If the campaign is success, then after that start to worry what each and everyone has to reimburse between friends =)
However, my Pro subscription runs out in three weeks from now. Should I renew that? What happens to the money I pay to Ipernity for that? Will they fund the IMAP initiative? Or would it be "lost" money for us as members?
Thanks for some insights! :-)
autofantasia club has replied to JohanTreasa Ui Cionaodha has replied to JohanStormlizard club has replied to Treasa Ui CionaodhaIf our I M A is a success I assume that I will not need to pay another subscription until it runs out, or that I may need to pay extra to cover any price adjustment after our takeover.
I hope that any fiture payments to I A M will allow the use of PayPay, Ipernity SA doloes already..
Sami Serola (inactiv… club has replied to JohanMy club membership also runs out on April 4th. I will continue as a "free user" untill we know more. I have asked Ipernity S.A. to offer renewal plans for shorter periods like for one month only, but no reply so far.
autofantasia club has replied to Stormlizard clubIn an ideal world, even if the monies paid to the site's current owners were not transferred to the IMA they would honour existing memberships. However, given the fact that insufficient funding has been a big part of the site's troubles the IMA will need every penny they can get just to keep the site going.
As I say, not ideal, but given where we are at I see no alternative! :(
Please bear in mind though that this still includes the numerous and suspect donations made by soca.jorge1986 who donated $3,862 via 18 separate donations.
Working on the assumption though that these donations may indeed prove to be bogus that would mean that we have actually raised $24,698 which leaves us just short of the initial target by a mere $302.
