J'sais pas c'qu'y a eu...Registre de langue. - May 23, 2013 new

What's a Coconut to do? - May 24, 2013 new

I never thought I'd say this but I'm kinda of over flickr. Their new format is a problem for me as, for some reason, I've been having a hard time processing all the data. Maybe it's because my brain is overwhelmed by the size of the pictures, or that finding my way around has become as confusing as navigating downtown traffic in Toronto. Or maybe it's because I feel like I need a large stick to pry apart the pictures that are all squished together. And all this without any prior warning. That's…

[photography] William Claxton - May 24, 2013 new

William Claxton (October 12, 1927 - October 11, 2008) is one of my favorite photographer, known for shooting fashion, movie stars, and most notably, jazz musicians. But I only happened to know his work through the "Jazz Seen : The Life and Times of William Claxton" documentary film which I saw about ten years ago, as my interest in Jazz was then more into the musician than the photographer who shot the album cover. ( William Claxton holding an M6, screen shot from my old TV ) After wat…

hmm this is interesting! - May 22, 2013 new

Dont know what this article thing is for, but kind of cool.. Like having a diary ;-)

Anyway, thanks for adding me here! So far I see I have 400 contacts in the first day. wowooww, that's already half of the number of contacts I had in flickr. I look forward to see how things will be on this site in the long run! However, I am also going to be keeping my flickr account as well as updating it regularly since some of the old flickr gang is not moving here to ipternity!

Us on Ipernity - May 22, 2013 new

Look at this! I have own little blogging space here where I can share pics, thoughts and tiny bits of information like… btw, this is me and Paul who is not all too happy about me making a picture while he was purring on my lap – and already you know more about me and what I do on the puter than after 7 years f*ckr :) I think I like ipernity’s way of thinking about photo sharing AND keeping a community together, don’t you? Question is… …are we allowed to tell people about the things we make…

Hello there ! - May 23, 2013 new

Like many other doll lovers, i recently joined Ipernity due to the massive changes on Flickr. I won't close my flickr account though, as i'm sure i'll get used to the changes with time. I joined Ipernity to be able to follow the people i like who moved their pics here, and i'll be posting some myself too from time to time ;) Anyway, as for me, i'm Nelene and i live in France. I love vintage clothing, bright colours, sewing, dolls, cats, tea, knitting and reading fantasy novels. Nice to meet yo…

My plans - May 23, 2013 new

The more I am on Ipernity the more I learn to navigate it. It is aethetically pleasing. Though I am sure there are some changes that can be made. I plan on staying here and I hope others join me. This does not mean I will delete my Flickr account. But what this means is I will update my photos here. My Blythe photos and my finished work. I feel a big sigh of relief being able to share my dresses and not have to worry about monitoring comments and thinking boy did I say something sales related?…

Making Ourselves a New Home - May 23, 2013 new

So, it's time for me to write my first article here. I really like this feature. It makes me feel like a professional writer. I think ipernity has a chance at growing into a new, better community for us Flickr refugees. I really wish Flickr had taken its paying customers into account when planning those changes. The mass exodus from Flickr to ipernity over the last couple of days has been interesting to watch. Flickr has been my favorite website, so it makes me especially sad to say that I can…

The color customization project / Projet de personnalisation couleur - May 23, 2013 new

[EN] In between two (big) waves of Flickr friends joining us as we speak, we would like to submit to you our project of color personalization of your pages. The idea would be to offer in a totally optional way of course themes to color certain graphic elements of your pages while maintaining sobriety and harmony between each other's pages. Do not hesitate to leave your feedback and letting us know what you think by posting a comment underneath this article... [FR] Entre 2 (énormes) vagues d'ami…
