Beach at Punta de Maisí

On clear weather conditions you can see the coast of Haiti island which is away only 40 nautical miles = 73 km. The sea was very rough and not able for swimming or doing any other water sport.
Some hundred meters beside this point was a deportation camp for Haitian refugees who escape under life-threatening with their broken vessels from Haiian life conditions hoping a better life on Cuba. Many of them don*t survive the extrem rough trip over the ocean.
