Its a stupa but called "Chorten" in this area, all means the same:
Chaitya in Nepal, Candi in Indonesia and Malaysia, Chedi in Thailand, Chorten in Tibet and Bhutan, Dagoba or Chaitiya in Sri Lanka/Ceylon, Chedey in Cambodia, Sübürgen in Mongolia, Tap in Korea, That in Laos, Ta in China, Tō in Japan and Zedi in Myanmar/Burma
