Blackened grainy brick walls, dead ends, dark doors; a sense of alienation. Ingrowing shadows, a descent by bathysphere. There’s always a curled and flattened Metro on the floor, in the half-hidden doorways where the rough sleepers bed down for the night. Photographer as urban prospector of the glitter and glimmer. What for? All the information that’s left, the recordings in the black box. What’s here? What I said,what you show. Probably less, probably more.
