A funerary procession leaving from the farm of the Pischeltsrieder family. The flag covering the coffin seemed to date the event between 1933 and 1945, but later I learned it was the burial of Franz Hilz, a worker at the farm and a member of the SA, who was killed in a pub fight in 1932.
Old photo from my own collection.
I came home early, today, and the organic food store “Paradieschen” made such a friendly impression on me, that I decided to go and fetch my camera...
“View of Isar and mountains near Irking (sic) – Isar Valley”
This is #9 of a series of twelve historic postcards from the collection of Dr. Peter Schweiger, reproductions of which were issued for Icking’s 1200th anniversary.

When a farmer wanted to retire and transferred his farm to his eldest son, he claimed the right to live in a small house near the farm and to be looked after. Such houses were called “Austragshäusl”. This one belonged to the Lechnerhof, which had already vanished when this picture was taken (from our house).
It was a time we still had neighbors...
Historische Postkarte aus eigener Sammlung (datiert 26.12.1917).
