“Haven’t seen the sun in weeks
My skin is getting pale...” – The Raconteurs, “Consoler of the Lonely”

Now the White Stripes are gone we have to look for other Jack White venues. My quote is from the title track of a Raconteurs album: a good place to start with. I like White’s passion for music and riff-driven guitar playing a lot. He’s some kind of new Pete Townshend version, without the antics, but with the same tendency to play until it bleeds. I also recommend Davis Guggenheim’s documentary “It Might Get Loud” contrasting him with Jimmy Page and The Edge.

The coolest curve of Icking! ;-)

My skin is also always pale, nowadays, though I used to bronze fast when I was young. Probably we should both move to a sunnier place.

I think you hit the mark: there are some pictures of Icking, taken a century ago from a balloon, which show the old dirt roads:
Alt-Icking

The street of my picture must have been more to the right, and I suppose it was, the course of other Icking streets already being quite recognizable.
