Nice picture of this group of Krishna pilgrims. I'm glad you were able to keep the picture and that people weren't too upset. People are very touchy about having their picture taken, and I am now extremely wary of taking anyone's picture unless I can ask them and they say it's ok...it's just the most horrible feeling to be glared at. I never really thought about this deeply before and one year my husband and I took pictures at a pumpkin patch, where there were little children having fun. It never occurred to me that parents would totally freak out. We are actually asked to leave, and I was so humiliated and upset...I felt like I was being accused of being a pedophile. It took me a long time to get over that experience. After much thought and time, I totally understand why parents would be so angry at me...since the fact of the matter is, they didn't know me, and what was I going to do with those pictures? In this day and age, I could have been taking pictures for the wrong reasons. In your case...wow...people are very very very touchy about religion and pictures, and death and ceremonies, and so many things. You and me...we are innocent photographers who mean no harm. But there is so much meaning and understanding with this act of taking a picture. It is very HARD to be educated by angry people glaring, but wow, we do get the message!! I will always be so careful now!! I hope you didn't get too upset! :) NICE PICTURE and perfect for ORANGE! :)
