HFF - Hubbrücke Plau
Die Hubbrücke in Plau wurde 1916 errichtet und funktioniert heute noch. Die Brücke überquert die Elde, von wo aus Boote in den Plauer See fahren. Da die Brücke sehr tief liegt, wird sie für größere Boote um etwa 1,70 m angehoben.
Früher musste der Schleusenwärter von der 400 m entfernten Schleuse auch die Brücke bedienen. Dazu musste er mit dem Fahrrad hierher fahren und die Brücke vom Holzhaus (Notiz) aus steuern. Heute wird die Brücke fern bedient. Vor dem Hochfahren ertönt ein akustisches Signal, wie an einer Bahnlinie, und die Schranken werden geschlossen.

DAS ist wirklich ein interessantes Schauspiel, ich weiss, dass es Brücken gibt, die auseinander gehen, damit grössere Schiffe durchkommen, aber nicht, dass die gesamte Brücke sich erheben kann... HFF Wilhelm.
