Not in my garden

Not in my garden
Thankfully. I am in Singapore and this massive mollusc, the size of my hand when fully out if its shell is in my friend’s garden. About 10cm long.
It is massive. I am grateful it lives here to be photographed by me, but glad it lives here and not in my garden. It was too big and too hard shelled to even think of squashing it!

Have a happy Sunday, nature livers and friends. Thanks for your visits

This looks very much like a Giant African Land Snail..........when they were younger my grandchildren kept some as pets in a big glass tank. Despite its name it seems to have spread all over the world. Most countries outside Africa consider them as invasive species!

Nevertheless, this is a fantastic close up shot, full of amazing detail. Beautifully done Diana.

Ein mächstiges Gehäuse trägt die Schnecke mit sich, Diana.
natürlich wünsche ich mir auch nicht eine solche Schnecke in meinem Garten.
Schöne Grüße und eine gute Woche

Great shot of this beauty, Diana!
Ideally, if you have them in your garden, they will have natural predators as well. ;)
Have a great week and stay well! ox

Don't think I would like one of these in my garden although it does make an attractive photographic subject :-) A detailed photo for sure.
Have a good rest of the week, Diana.
