Back at the wharf

Back at the historic Tathra wharf. I suspect that, what is now a walkway with stairs was once a cattle loading ramp. I felt this needed a musical link. Definitely needs to be viewed large. HFF and have a great weekend, everyone.

In Millthorpe

We're celebrating the 70th anniversary of the release of the Renault 4CV this weekend. Today we were in the country town of Millthorpe. HFF, everyone. Explored.

From 1956

Renault Fregate from 1956 among a street of late 1800s houses in Bathurst. Processing to match seemed essential. Some fences there too, so HFF everyone.

On the circuit

View large. Mount Panorama is (locally, at least) one of Australia's most famous motor racing circuits, located just outside Bathurst where we were holding our Renault gathering (see earlier images). We had to do a lap! There's quite a climb involved (see PiPs and link above), so somehow I doubt our little cars threatened the lap record. :-) The Renault Alpine A310 in the foreground may have done better. HFF, everyone - plenty of fence choices in this series.

Where's the train?

At Millthorpe station. No idea why they have fenced off the platform! HFF and have a great weekend, everyone.

Tathra wharf

Until the mid-20th century, poor roads along the coast meant that most freight was carried by coastal steamers. The heritage-listed Tathra wharf dates from the mid 1800s and is the only remaining coastal steamer wharf in NSW. To put this in its setting, my previous two images were taken on either side of the wharf. HFF and have a great weekend, everyone.
