The Bow to the west
Stitched image (8 shots) of the Milky Way Bow, looking west and covering from south to north. Somewhat more light pollution than I'd like (and a few local lights). See notes, then view large.
Ummm!
Not at all sure that I'd have wanted to be on this "Dash 8" aircraft heading for a landing through clouds alongside those very close mountains! No, this is not done with selective colour. :-) A musical link seems appropriate.

Sea Eagle
At present my photography is occasional at best, but when our local White-breasted Sea Eagle came circling overhead I had to rush for the camera and grab some quick shots (more in PiPs). These are found around the entire Australian coastline.

Willie in the snow
The traditional looking yacht "Willie Wilhelmsen" in the harbour at Hammerfest, with plenty of snow around. Best viewed large. HFF and best wishes for the weekend, everyone.

Lofoten view
Somewhere in Norway's Lofoten Islands between Harstad and Svolvaer. The weather wasn't perfect, but it certainly could have been worse! View on black.
Lisa
The title of this image may not be obvious, but it's the name of this coastal freighter we passed near Norway's Lofoten Islands. Best viewed large. Here's a musical link.

Global Climate Strike
With the failure of worldwide governments (not least ours in Australia) to take the actions needed to limit anthropogenic climate change, today is a worldwide day of protest at the need to do more. These schoolchildren were among the crowd of about 600 people of all ages at our local event - good for a small community. The PiPs show more images. There were speakers on the back of the white vehicle.
Here's a musical link.

From the Arctic Cathedral
The view from outside the Arctic Cathedral, looking across the Tromso harbour (the landscape in the PiPs for my previous image of the Cathedral was taken from the far side, to the left of this image). No traffic, because the time was well after midnight. Best viewed on black. HFF and have a great weekend, everyone.

Organ angles
We had seen Tromso's Arctic Cathedral from the ship on our northward trip (PiP1), so it was great to be able to visit it for a midnight concert on our return trip (PiPs 2,3,4). It is an impressive building, built from slabs of poured concrete. These are the cathedral's organ pipes, which of course call for a musical link.
