Sao Miguel island -- western half
Sao Miguel island isn't very big and it has two major volcano stumps on either end.
As you climb either slope, you get a pretty good view of the other half of the island.
This view is from the volcano on the western half.
While the two major mountains dominate the island, you can see many smaller cones sprinkled across the the landscape.
