Sao Miguel island -- eastern half

Sao Miguel island isn't very big and it has two major volcano stumps on either end.
As you climb either slope, you get a pretty good view of the other half of the island.
This view is from the eastern half.

In the foreground you see one of the minor cones the volcano has created during its eruptions.
