Steele Park Nursing Home, Hamilton.

This is where my husband has been for the last few months. It is just over an hour's travel from home. My daughter and I visit once every week.

It is a lovely place, having been all renewed and updated just before he went in. The staff are very nice. He is basically settled there although, of course, he would rather be home.

I do miss him, but it became too dangerous to keep him at home as he needs 24-hour care. I was getting exhausted.

Nursing homes become necessary when someone needs to be cared 24 hours a day. The staff has shifts to offer that but family at home usually has not. All the best, Eunice!
