Replica display of a typical Victorian water supply - H.A.N.W.E

Replica display of a typical Victorian water supply - H.A.N.W.E
A collage of an historic Pump House for H.A.N.W.E - Vicarage Lane Farnham has a 1995 replica display of a typical Victorian water supply with this well head pump positioned above a old well from pre 1600s. The display is protected by an iron railing over a clear plastic glazing, so proves difficult to avoid the reflection of the church behind. Much Photoshop adjustment to reduce the reflection and obtain a clearer image.

Have a great weekend one and all!

With you on that Maurice; a school friend's father had a boat mooring on the Reading Thames attached to a plot of land, a few late 1950s school holidays enjoyed there, complete with a well pump that we had to wash under, definitely woke one up in the morning!

It is good to remember what everyday domestic joys there were to be had; I recall grandparents in a house with a piped water supply, just a stone sink with one cold tap and that was out in an outhouse: Good old tin baths in front of the fire, of course.
Trust your weekend was a good one, thanks Rosa.

A little small for that Fred, more of an outhouse!
