A steps without a banister is not always easy to climb, especially when it plunges straight into the void!!!!!!!!! You were right not to take risks!!!!

The wear on the steps is remarkable and very well captured Rosa,
I do agree the slope is very pronounced.

I certainly don't feel safe up there Roger. I was pleased when the girls came down....yet so many people walk it and I have never heard of an accident. I wouldn't like to be the first ;-))

I'm not surprised you were reluctant to go up the steps to the top of the Cob.........I've been up there and it's very discombobulating :-)). I felt I was going to lose my balance at any second.

Hi Rosa,

It was Monmouth beach! We had parked in Holmbush car park, and walked down Cobb Road, which I am sure you know. It is strange, but when you see people out of their normal context, you never recognise them, so we could have walked right past each other!!!
Anyway, I have added the first picture from there just now.
