Lovely Spring scene Rosalyn, hopefully we will be able to visit soon, The nearest NT properties to us might be classed as not being local. (16 miles), It's hard to get anyone official to define what might be Local.

Thank you very much Maurice. I am 7 miles away, so count that as local but I think many had come further. I did redeem my free coffee voucher at the outdoor stall, and sat happily in the sunshine drinking it. I expect you also had the vouchers if you are a NT member.

Kay and I are both NT members, I don't recall getting any vouchers but that's not to say they didn't send us any. Any mail we get which has supplements in it, the supplements usually get despatched without a second look.

Oh dear you might be missing out on a couple of coffees then :-)

It was a lovely stroll in the spring sunshine. Because of the present situation, some walks were cordoned off, and there was a one way system, but it is always a pleasure to walk around the lake. Thank you so much for all your kind comments Jose Manuel.

A lovely place to walk in the spring sunshine. And lovely to see rhododendrons have begun to flower. Glendoick Garden Centre isn't too far away but outside Fife so I can't visit if it opens on March 12th. They have a wonderful rhododendron garden which they open about now and it's a great place to visit as I think they have every rhododendron and azalea known to man. They export all over the place but I think Brexit is giving them quite a few problems.

It really was a pleasure in the sunshine Jean. I was surprised to see the rhododendrons in flower, but there are many yet to bloom. I don't know about you, but I have to keep checking on the current rules! I hope you are soon able to visit the garden centre and that they resolve the problems...they're not the only ones sadly.

There's to be a little bit of relaxation from the weekend but only for two people from different households meeting outside and it's not clear if they have to be from the same council area. Garden centres are still closed which is odd as the one at Homebase was open yesterday.

That's a good point Jean. I was hoping to meet with my daughter Michelle at the weekend, but she's North Dorset and I'm South Somerset! I'll have to check.

A lovely composition with beautiful light, Rosa. The path acts as a great lead-in line drawing the eye to the heart of the scene. The bench creates the ideal foreground interest. The couple holding hands is an excellent focal point. I love the play between light and shadow.

The floral PiPs evoke the feeling of spring.

Beautifully composed Rosa. The bench anchors the shot nicely and our eyes naturally follow the path to the lake. The light and dappled shadows are gorgeous as is the reflected light on the water. Nice to see the Rhododendron flowers in the PiPs. Three super shots!

A lovely place for a stroll Rosalyn, I saw where you said it is only 7 miles away you were fortunate people have been fined for travelling less than that to Calke Abbey !!!

I live in a very rural area and have to travel for shopping each week. Even Wincanton is only a small town. Apart from travelling 12 miles to the dentist, it's the furthest I have been this year.
