Visited there 3-4 years ago, I lost all my photos for that time in a failed hard drive then corrupted the backup trying to retrieve them. I do remember the window though it was really beautiful.
I like the sole figure in the main shot absorbing it all.

That's unfortunate Maurice. I would have liked to see them. Maybe another trip there sometime, when we are able.

A superb capture of the window to show the richness of the colours, it's a nice looking rose. Mount Saint Bernard Abbey a few miles from here is a Cistercian Monastery.

A beautiful window and rose. The main image is stunning. It's interesting to see the place where Buckfast wine originated. It's notorious in parts of the west of Scotland where it is the preferred drink of disaffected youth and causes lots of problems.

It was 7 years ago, but I still remember the scent of that rose Jean. It's unfortunate that the wine has that association. Must be all the caffeine! I have never tried it but apparently it's much stronger than in Red Bull....I've never tried that either ;-)

I think the caffeine is considered part of the problem. It is claimed it reduces inhibitions. I wonder if drinking a lot of coffee does the same.

We had better get some decaffeinated coffee Jean ;-)

A lovely main image and it's interesting to see the extended window theme in the second PiP, Rosa. A beautiful rose too.

Thank you very much George. I wouldn't mind going back there sometime. It was on the way to Looe in Cornwall and we decided to stop off there.

Such an amazing stained glass window............the colours are just glorious and you've captured it it perfect detail. I like that you captured someone praying - it just seems so appropriate and also gives a sense of scale.

The wider view in the PiP is good to see and you've captured it extremely well. I especially like the coloured light on the floor tiles. The rose in the other Pip is really stunning. I like the colour and detail and it stands out beautifully from the background.

Thank you for all your kind comments Keith. The window was a big surprise to me. I thought it was amazing and quite different to anything else I had seen. I'm not religious, but I found the gardens so beautiful with the abbey as a backdrop.
