I came across one of these the other day, Rosa. I think I was in Dunfermline at the time. In Dunfermline, there is an Edward VIII post box. I photographed it a few years ago. Cheers, Joe

The Edward VIII would be the rarest to find Joe, so well done. I will keep my eyes peeled! Many thanks for your kind comments. Cheers, Rosa.

The Edward VIII Postboxes webpage says, Rosa, "A number of unusual post boxes are to be found in Dorset. Located in the east of the county are three pillar-boxes cast during the short reign of Edward VIII, one in Highcliffe and two within a mile of each other in Parkstone, Poole. I look forward to seeing your photographs. Cheers, Joe

Thank you for the link Joe. I will check it out later. My granddaughter is here for the day. I will look out for the post box in Highcliffe but I always get lost in Parkstone when I am driving home from Bournemouth, so probably won't look for them. Cheers, Rosa.

I will keep a note of the address for it in my camera bag Joe. I like to visit that area in September, so you never know, you may see it in my gallery. Cheers, Rosa.

A lovely find Rosalyn I wonder how many collections there would have been when it was new, it's good to see the day plate, you have to guess if it's been emptied here

More than now I expect Peter. The Post Office in Bruton closed last year, but they have a counter in the Town Library....just have to hope that doesn't close now!

Schitterende brievenbus, Rosa.
Er zullen in die 100 jaar wel veel romantische brieven in gelegen hebben , maar ook veel belastingbrieven........Frans.

We still get the tax letters Frans, but sadly not the romantic letters....people just text nowadays!!
Best wishes, Rosa.
