Excellent shot. I still remember my only visit, aged 8 or 9!

That was about my age when we used to go there and many times Lord Bath (the late one) was on the gate taking the money ;-))

He was probably on the lookout for potential wifelets!

It was his father who used to collect the money on the gate Andy. His heir is still around but his much more sensible son runs the operation now :)

They have some great events there Sarah. I remember in the 1960's The Rolling Stones gave a concert in the grounds...I was too young to attend though! Actually I was more into The Beatles anyway! No we don't celebrate that day but it is a Bank Holiday Weekend here. Regards, Rosa.
