It was wonderful to see. I liked how one could feel the depth of the tree even in shadow form as some branches were sharply defined, and others were soft.

I once spent time by using the stitch panorama feature on my phone while shooting from the moving train.

That sounds fascinating! Anything here on ipernity? I love to travel by train (more unusual in the states than where you are) and am very curious what you came up with.

This is why I should have my camera with me always, something I usually don't do.

I always have some type of camera with me, always have. I have fallen trap to the digital camera of my phone. I'm learning how to use it well, just like I do with each new camera I get. (Most recent, the PolaroidGo - a mini version of a Polaroid, such fun, but still learning how to use it well.) I understand the failures of a camera phone very well, but it does open up some possibilities for me as well. Still lug my digital SLR around when I have a pre-thought to be photographing. Even my film cameras at times. Think of that.
