Tall pillbox on East of Cuckmere Haven 28 7 2009
I believe that this pill-box fortification was cast on-site. This series of Cuckmere fortifications photos was uploaded to provide some visual information for a railway modeller who is creating a fictional branch line along the valley.
SV1XV, Annemarie, Don Sutherland, Agathe Beitz and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Phil Sutters club has replied to John FitzGerald clubThere is a small cairn memorial near the former Coastguard cottages which commemorates an event involving the Canadian troops. There does seem to be some mystery about the authenticity of the story it tells. www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/25919851/in/album/515827
