Thanks, John. As the council has less and less money to maintain the reserve, it is getting wilder, with thistles making it difficult to get near these beauties. These were fairly close to the main coast road and show the transition from deep pink buds to the virtually white one at the back, which will lose its petals soon.

Just sitting there waiting to have their photo taken. In 2016 I took one of one of these roses with a Hoverfly on it, which won me a prize in a local paper competition, so it's a rewarding location to visit.
