This little 10.25inch gauge railway ran for about 30 years as a tourist attraction, but was closed in 2011 when its lease was not renewed.

It was the then owner of Torosay Castle, whose land much of the railway was built on, who refused to renew the lease, saying that his family had let the railway's owners have 30 years playing trains for free, or so it was reported at the time.

Engines of this size - on 10.25 inch track - are nearly all built for tourist lines. So they are often quite attractively designed.

Thanks, Jaap. As you can see above, there were some issues with a light leak which led to me playing around with colour and saturation, but it looks OK now.
