Bishopstone sunset - 29.4.2016

Bishopstone sunset - 29.4.2016
As the Sun set beyond Newhaven, to the left of this view, a fair-sized flock of seagulls headed down the valley towards the sea.

Thanks, Ruth.
It was on a whim that I walked along the main road towards Newhaven, as I could see that there were very few clouds over the sea. This is the valley just to the west of our town, which is the nearest point of the South Downs National Park. There is a path that leads up the eastern slope of the valley that gives good views to the village of Bishopstone and the Downs beyond.

Very appealing. Great colours and the gulls helped out the composition. Well captured.

Thanks, John. The gulls certainly add a sense of movement. Although the clouds were moving they were quite slow.

Thanks, Denis - although it wasn't me that put it there. My Canon EFS10-18mm lens does grab a lot of sky.
