Bee with a bit of leaf - East Blatchington - 24.7.2014

Bee with a bit of leaf - East Blatchington - 24.7.2014
This bee, slightly bigger than a honey bee, was spotted on the back of a garden chair with this chunk of leaf. By the time I got my camera, it had moved onto a currant bush. It then flew off carrying its leaf over the garage roof and away. Logically it should be a Leaf-cutter Bee, but it looks hairier than ones I can see in my reference book and on line. Does anyone have an accurate identification, please?

Thanks, Owen. I am beginning to think that this is a Wool-carder Bee. But my reference book says that the female collects the hairs from hairy plant leaves to line its nest. Well this is not a hairy leaf and it ain't hairs she's gathering. It's more like me getting a sheet of ply off the back of the wood yard's delivery truck, only she handled it far more gracefully than I could.
