Tenterden Museum - 21.7.2006

Tenterden Museum - 21.7.2006
The Tenterden Museum is adjacent to the KESR Tenterden Station, Its website is www.tenterdenmuseum.co.uk
This looks to me like a tar boiler, or some kind of stationary steam boiler. It has a tow bar on the front and the wheels don't look as if they are driven. The museum's website doesn't seem to mention it, although I only gave it a fairly quick visit.
I only made a very quick excursion down Station Road while the rest of the family were heading elsewhere. So I didn't get to look inside this museum!

I think this might interest my husband...he loves all kind of machine and he makes wonderful ship models himself...ships and aircrafts, and he's a model railroader.

I used to have a model railway, back in the 1960s when I lived with my parents and they had a big house. When I moved to London our houses were too small to devote space to a railway and I switched to painting wargames figures - mainly from the 17th, 18th & 19th centuries. At one time I painted figures as an out-worker for one of the best figure painters in the UK, Bill Brewer. I did a lot of his flags and standards and heraldic work for him, as it was uneconomic for him to spend his professional time on it, but as a hobby I didn't mind taking a long time to get the details right.
My railway models and drawings are at www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/album/512733
I haven't uploaded many of the figures that I painted, but there are a few at www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/album/513887
