Royal Mail Enquiry Office seat - Seaford - 4.2.2014

Royal Mail Enquiry Office seat - Seaford - 4.2.2014
Another two groups' material in one photo - Benches of the World and Royal Mail & British Telecom.!
The view is not spectacular - the carpark of the Police Station/Town Hall and the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall.
This is where you come to recover from the fact that your sister, for the second year running, has sent your birthday card without a stamp - so you have to pay for the stamp and a surcharge - meaning you are paying well over a pound to receive a card!

- well, that is wonderful! Our mail goes nowhere without a stamp; remember in Florida leaving a stamp off an envelope --- it was still in the mailbox when I checked to see what we had gotten !

We post our mail in boxes like this one (and several different, larger designs) www.ipernity.com/doc/364457/30785429
It is collected from here and taken to its destinations by Royal Mail. If there is no stamp or insufficient value then it is held at the destination delivery/enquiry office and a note is put through your letter box, which in this country is usually in your front door, telling you that you have something to collect. You then have to pay the unpaid amount and a surcharge, currently just over £1.00.
