I haven't worked out where this was taken. I know the year as it was in an envelope with other negatives, marked 1962. So this qualifies it for the Vintage Photos Theme Park, April theme of the 1960s.

The pannier tank design was a Great Western Railway classic, with the ease of access to the working parts being the point of the raised side tanks.They were still building new versions of it after WW2.
