Why I missed this atmospheric shot in my previous trawls through Dad's albums I don't know. May be it is the mystical Glastonbury effect. When I tried to put it on the Flickr map it would not go to Glastonbury. It stayed on Salisbury. I eventually asked for Wells and moved it from there by hand, so-to-speak. Weird!
I haven't placed it accurately on the map, not having one of the area for that date.

What was the old S&D is now the Glastonbury bypass. Northload roundabout is where a bridge once crossed the line. Part of Dye House Lane level crossing can still be seen within an industrial estate as well as the former offices of the S&DJR.
