They appeared on the 30th September and fed frantically for 3 days.. now.. all but an occasional stray one have moved on. So much beauty

John.... your answer made me laugh out loud... now you are a GOOD boy !!!
I have never seen(except on television) the migration for real till this year. Yes.. in the 7 years I have been in the USA I have seen the odd one or two Monarchs... last year.. 3.... at separate times.... but this year... weird weather... everything late...almost no butterflies of any kind.. then hordes !! THEN.. 20 MONARCHS.... as if the migration route twitched to the side a little.
I know they come in bigger numbers.. but I will never EVER forget MY Monarchs this year.... and quite possibly.. things will change back.. and I will never experience this again.
I am thankful !
