Happy name-day, Dad!
Your portfolio @Ipernity is still there .
A name day is a tradition in some countries in Europe and the Americas, and Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox countries in general. It consists of celebrating a day of the year that is associated with one's given name. The celebration is similar to a birthday.
Traditionally, name day celebrations (Polish: imieniny) have enjoyed a celebratory emphasis greater than that of birthday celebrations in parts of Poland. However, birthday celebrations are increasingly popular and important, particularly among the younger generations. Imieniny involve the gathering and socializing of friends and family at the celebrant's home, as well as the giving of gifts and flowers at home and elsewhere, such as at the workplace. Local calendars often contain the names celebrated on a given day.
For many years there used to be a big party on my Dad's name day. I miss them now.
I miss my Dad so much.
So today I went to his grave, put some fresh flowers (hopefully he accepts my choice of colors this time - he always liked dark violet and purple ones).
I also told him to keep a vigil eye on lanterns - very traditional vigil candles. It is up to him to keep them burning in spite of rains and storms passing by.

Three weeks ago my daughter brought me an old Pentacon 4/200 M42 lens and I decided to test it only today with a digital camera for starters. I went out into my garden and immediately found out again that manual focusing became harder for me than I expected.
I was trying to get in terms with it when I spotted my dog laying inconspicuously in shadows (as usually she wanted to observe me while avoiding to be photographed). I clicked the shutter trigger obviously misfocusing a bit but when I was trying to adjust the focus she realized what I was doing and looked at me with much distaste - a moment later she was gone and that was it :/

Meet my youngest girl. Her name is Orzeszek (literally a little nut, Peanut maybe but she looks more like some sort of a conifer cone, doesn't she?)
Pip and Cookie aren't ready to accept her yet. They are adults and she is a kiddo so we are working on their relations (not hurrying things up).
