Aynho Bridge and Wier

Aynho Bridge and Wier
On this day in 2018 I was on the Blue Buzzard (narrowboat) cruising with Big Bro. This is the Oxford Canal just before it merges very briefly with the R. Cherwell and then they go their separate watery ways.
PiP1; under the bridge (188)
PiP2; the wier and the R. Cherwell crossing.

Happy Independence Day to all my US Iperfriends.

It’s very relaxing between locks, especially if you can see a motorway in the distance with all its frenetic speed - or even when it’s just stopped for some reason. You just look, smile and carry on cruising with your chosen drink to hand ;-))))

It’s a great way to travel Jenny. My brother lived on his narrowboat for about 10 years and I’d join him when I was in England, swapping motorhoming for waterhoming!

Lovely images, Maggs. Like Jenny, I've wondered about slowly cruising on a narrowboat.
