Happy Bank Holiday Weekend Great Western Railway Bench Monday.
A family day out on the North Somerset Railway is a favourite, and despite it being the last holiday weekend of the year (Christmas not necessarily being on a weekend) the popular heritage line wasn't too crowded. I never get tired of the beautiful views, agricultural and coastal, on this hour and a half run from Bishops Lydiard to Minehead or the noise and smells of steam!
Traditional fish and chip lunch sitting overlooking the beach and the Severn estuary - bliss, on a sunny and warm day.
