Taken yesterday during a visit to West Dean Gardens, Nr Chichester, West Sussex. There were two of them wandering around the walled garden and this one kindly posed for me :-)

Not as big as they used to be.........but still very tasty..........and quite photogenic :-)) Thank you to everyone who has visited my photo-stream lately, especially those who have left a comment and/or a yellow star........always appreciated and it makes sharing worthwhile..!! I'd never heard of this plant until my neighbours cut one down and were going to thrown the remains in the bin. It was cut down because apparently it had never flowered. On investigation it seems the Moonflower is a species of night-blooming Morning Glory, native to tropical and subtropical regions of North and South America, so it's not surprising it didn't like being in southern England :-)) Anyway, before it went in the bin, I snipped off two seed pods, one of which I cut in half and this photo is what it looks like, inside and out. This is about twice life size. In the PiP is an even closer shot of the seeds. Thanks for looking.

These were all taken in my garden much earlier this year. Clockwise from top left: Lilac, Iris, Acer, Bluebell. All gone now except for the Acer tree.

I liked the look of this building with its colourful glass windows and the way it stands on the junction of two streets..........so I couldn't resist taking a quick photo of it. The building (and its name) seem to have been influenced by the Dutch pioneer of abstract art, Piet Mondrian (1872-1944). I had no idea about this until I Googled the name of the building. A couple more pieces from the recent street art festival in Portsmouth. This one is by the artist My Dog Sighs, who was the main organiser. The "canvas" is the side wall of the Astoria night club, In the PiP is a close up of the centre of the eye!

This is "helicopter style" seed pod which fell into my garden from one of the Lime trees that are just the other side of my back garden fence. Taken indoors and photographed on an A4 sized LED light panel.

Now Autumn is here and the evenings are getting darker, you never what what you are going to find in your garden! Try viewing large, if you dare................

Captured last month during a walk on the Heath at Petersfield, Hampshire.

My wife found some guitar-shaped wooden buttons in a charity and got them for me to photograph. I think they look pretty good with the sheet music as a background. Taken indoors, in natural light.
