I do love to see Calluna vulgaris in late summer. Our ling on the local hill has gone over quickly this summer, but since the recent rains it has set up a few more fresh shoots..

The colour of late summer is always a joy to see. The shallow DoF gives great depth to your photo, from the tack sharp foreground to the lovely background bokeh.

Beautiful ! Here it is more of a Winter plant here, the white species (Erica arborea or Erica lusitanica) bloom in Winter and the pink one (Erica umbellata), beginning Spring
