Nigella Seed Heads
Taken indoors in natural light. I used a sheet of brown card as a background and added a texture and vignette in processing. I'm not overly happy with the reflections on the bottle, but I don't think they detract from the photo too much.

Keith Burton club has replied to Rosalyn Hilborne clubI'm really pleased you like this one (including the reflections). I picked the seed heads around a week ago and they've been indoors drying out.
It was confirmed on our local news this morning that July was one of the wettest on record for southern England, and that August is not expected to be much better.

Keith Burton club has replied to trester88 clubGood luck with the seeds...............it can be a bit "hit or miss" sometimes.
But where does the name "Jungfer im Grünen" come from? The name comes from a legend according to which two lovers were forbidden to love each other by their parents. Gretl and Hans missed each other so much that they turned into flowers. Before Schmacht, Gretl became a maiden in the countryside and Hans became a waykeeper, which is also called Hansl on the way in some regions.
