Good find Keith, I had no idea that this largely American species (if I've got my facts correct) was here in the UK. Nicely framed against the water.

You're correct Ed. The ones in WWT will most likely be because of conservation efforts. They were almost extinct 20 years ago but there numbers are creeping up.

Interesting to read that they were almost extinct 20 years ago Keith! I absolutely love this beautiful portrait! I keep looking at it....the detail is superb and I love the colour tones.
