Fallow Deer Stag (+PiP)

Fallow Deer Stag (+PiP)
Another shot from the deer park at Petworth, Sussex.

The PiP is not the best quality but will give you an idea of how many deer were about that day.

Thanks for looking.

I love the tree on the PIP, double canopy: a green one on the upper part and a living deer one underneath... amazing !

Amazing images, Keith!!
One with a lonely noble deer!
Another is from an extraordinary group of young deers!
The tree with old branches seems to protect them!

I think the quality is superb Keith. You have very high standards! The main shot is really beautiful of the stag sitting down, and the PiP is superb. I love the light, and the tree is captured so well!

A stunning pair Keith.

Oh boy...what a treat this pair of pictures are...I am torn between the two for a favorite! The main image is an obvious winner with the single, gorgeous stag relaxing in the meadow. But the ginormous herd of deer that fill your wide-format image so perfectly...WHAT A SIGHT! I've never seen so many deer together like this in the wild--though I'd sure love to! We've driven through areas where elk are spread out over a vast pasture area, but I'm not sure they'd equal this group! Thanks for sharing, I loved these pictures so much! :)

Amazing photos of the deer, especially the lone stag. They need more wolves in this neighborhood. ;-)

Wolves would be great...............but they've been extinct in the UK for over half a century :-))

Zwei großartige Aufnahmen, Keith! Es hat den Anschein, als wären die Tiere in freier Wildbahn.

Thanks Wilhelm. They live in a 700 acre enclosed deer park. The herd is around 6-700 strong.

Fabulous shots both! I also love that tree with its spreading branches. It certainly provides a great shelter for the animals! I see from one of the comments that there is about one deer to the acre. Plenty of room for all to enjoy.
