Not only is the hollyhock beautiful in detail and colour, so is the beetle. I lives up to its name Keith! I love how macro photography gives the possibility of seeing so many small creatures in close-up. A superb shot.

I’m sporting an allergic reaction to a bite and it’s flat but bigger than a tennis ball. I’m too tasty for insects unfortunately.

No it doesn't bite..!! It's completely harmless to humans, but it's colour indicates that it probably tastes nasty, but that's to keep predators away. So if you find one, you can admire it, but don't eat it :-))

My daughter is allergic to bites and stings too........she has to be very careful.
