Very attractive views of the city. I like the cathedral tower and the Spinnaker tower and the tower blocks too. I especially like the Hot Walls and the tower you have included there.

The tower that you can see behind the hot walls is actually called Tower House. It used to be a complex of stores, chambers andwharves but it was bought by W.L.WYLLIE (the famous Marine Artist) in 1906. He converted it into a dream house for a maritime artist. Here he could sit and paint, so close to the water's edge that he could almost touch the ships passing by. He lived there with his family until he died in 1931. I don't know who owns it now.

Fabulous collage Keith. I recognise each picture and can't wait to visit again. I especially like the Hot Walls picture, where we can also see the well designed lamp lights.

Very well done Keith.

A really nice collage here Keith. Portsmouth is such an interesting place. I have only been around the harbours though and the Historic dockyard. Love all these here. Well done.

Very nice collection, Keith! The Hot Walls - that's a very creative name. I suppose it's very protected from wind, or something like that. The whole scene looks like it could be in Morocco, with the reddish sand and what I assume is an old fort.

Thanks Diane...........glad you like tthem.

The Hot Walls are so named because it's a sun-trap - the walls retain the heat and throw it back out again. Nearly all this part of Portsmouth was fortified to protect the entrance to the harbour.

I'm resigned to that;-) At the moment I'm trying- without success so far- to get a vaccination slot, but they say we'll have a deluge of vaccines by June, so I'm hopeful.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't had a vaccination yet Gudrun..............I hope you get it soon. You must be so frustrated :-(
