Ladybird on Fence

Ladybird on Fence
Spotted this during a walk in Southsea, Hampshire. I didn't have my macro lens with me but my 12-40mm lens does a decent job, and this just needed a small crop. Best viewed large.

Ulrich John, Nouchetdu38, Bernard Walbyx, Jean Paul Capdeville and 21 other people have particularly liked this photo

The Beetle has a wrong timing, he should not sit there until next Friday because of these HFF... ((•‿•))

Your lens worked really well Keith. Love the bokeh background and the superb detail of the web! You have captured the ladybird beautifully. I have not seen many this year. I hope that's not a bad sign!

Thanks Rosa..............glad you like it. We haven't had many ladybirds in the garden this year either.........probably why he had a plague of aphids on the flowers.

Wonderful capture with the spider silk and the beautiful bokeh. I have come to the conclusion that quite a lot of insects and snails of course are all frustrated mountaineers.

Thanks Jean. I'm pleased you like this one. I love the idea of mountaineering bugs and snails. There's probably a story book for children there somewhere :-)

When I saw the thumbprint I was sure it was some kind of beacon light. Ha! Cute little ladybug, much better than a beacon. Nice shot, Keith.

Der Metallstab des Zauns ist nicht der lebensfreundlichste Platz für kleine Tiere, aber der Marienkäfer und die Spinne haben sich damit arrangiert. Eine sehr schöne Nahaufnahme mit feinen Details!

I think the ladybird was just about to try some tightrope walking Wilhelm :-)) Glad you like it.

Vraiment superbe. Espérons que cette petite coccinelle ne va pas se coller dans les fils. Bon week end à toi. Jean Paul
