Taken yesterday morning, in hazy sunshine. I really liked the dried out Cow Parsley in the foreground and the blue tones of the sky and sea.

Roger (Grisly), Jan, Gudrun, HappySnapper and 19 other people have particularly liked this photo

Very well done.
The dry plants on the lake shore form a beautiful eye-catcher and a great mark between the shore and the water...

The cow parsley makes a beautiful lacy edging to the soft colour of the water and the distant shore.

It does look very hazy! Was that early morning Keith? The blues are lovely, edged with the cow parsley. Very atmospheric.

A good start to September, but not so warm today. Hope you have a good evening.

Thank you Rosa.........glad you like it. It wasn't especially early - around 10am I think, but the light was very nice.

I like your composition -- verticals rising from a diagonal and pointing to a horizontal.

Not quite..........inside the concrete is a pipe which runs from the sewage works. In an emergency they can use it as an overflow pipe. I can't ever remember it being used like that though!

Quiet like this Keith, I like the grey/blue layered tones coming from the sky and across the water and the stark foreground interest bringing the shot into good perspective.

(Seems Olympus didn't dump their camera business as new models due for release next year) plus the Pro 100-400 also out next year and a new 12-45mm to boot)

Yes, good news about Olympus..............I don't think we need to worry at all. I just wish I could afford the new kit :-))
