Hairy Crust Fungus

The mushrooms look great. I like the interesting shape and the bright yellow colour.

I thought you might have made that wonderful name up Keith....but no! I had to look it up to make sure ;-)) Another superb fungus shot and great detail and colour again.

Great capture with lovely sharp hairy detail. The name alone makes it a winner and I am viewing it while hungry I wondered if it was edible. Found out it is tough and tasteless so I'll have to make do with a chestnut and mushroom pie instead.

Good shot on a Fungi new to me, I thought at first "Chicken of the woods" then noticed it's attached to conifer so like Rosalyn looked it up and sure enough "Hairy Crust"
