Spring Snowflakes

Spring Snowflakes
Taken this morning in my neighbour's garden. Title amended from Snowdrops to Spring Snowflakes after a proper ID from Amelia (below). Who knew?

Ernest CH, Andy Rodker, , Christina Sonnenschein and 20 other people have particularly liked this photo

Eine sehr schöne Nahaufnahme! Leider sind unsere Schneeglöckchen schon fast verblüht. Dafür blühen jetzt die Märzenbecher, die so ähnlich aussehen.

Ohhhhhh, soooooo lovely!!! Simply gorgeous, Keith. The bokeh is wonderful too. They are such darling little blossoms, nice job.

Thank you so much for the comments on my espresso! It delights me to no end that you saw what I did in that picture too. Funny how surprising results can be...I couldn't resist taking pictures but I was really surprised to see how nice that one came out...you can plan bokeh but I usually just wing it, so when I get something nice, it's a very nice reward. Just like the beautiful bokeh in your picture! :)

I'm glad you enjoyed the filtered image, they are such fun to play with and that one was fun because it showed how dramatically different a picture can look.

Thanks too for the well-wishes regarding our RV, we're so excited but it's also kind of hard to believe at this point. We'll certainly be keeping everyone up to date!

Many folks think that these are snowdrops, but they are spring snowflakes: www.rhs.org.uk/Plants/10012/Leucojum-vernum/Details

Nevertheless they are beautiful and flower slightly later than snowdrops. A lovely shot, Keith.

I've always loved these since I was a little girl (in the ling distant past ). I always have some in my garden every spring. This image is just lovely; so sharp against the background!.

They are lovely, the stem makes a nice diagonal! I know the plant but didn't know the English name, so it's a school day for me too:-)
