To me, these look like fir trees, but maybe they're something else to you. I know nothing about your conifers! Lovely, peaceful shot.

Definitely some sort of evergreen fir type (I'm not really up to speed of tree ID I'm afraid). It looks peaceful but it was a really busy trail and I had to hang around for a while to get a shot with no people in it. Glad to like it though and thanks for stopping by.

That is so lovely with the little bend in the path and the beautiful light. I like the perfectly straight trunks. We've got quite a few Douglas firs in Scotland notably at The Hermitage near Dunkeld. Four of them at Reelig Glen near Inverness are the tallest trees in Britain.

I always value your comments Jean.............thank you. It's a beautiful place that I plan to go back to later in the year. On this occasion we were on a family day out and although I always carry a camera, photography was a secondary consideration.
