Eye - Eye - Eye!!
No idea what this is. It's situated at the end of the sea wall in Exmouth, next to the Marina, looking out to sea.

I thought it was quite photogenic though and slightly robotic looking!

Navigation lights for boats, the R. Teign is very tidal almost to Newton Abbot, spikes are to stop bird doo-doos blocking the lights. Reminds me of the film "Short Circuit" so I'm giggling - which is not seemly at my age!!!

I think you're right Maggie..........this is the River Exe which is also very tidal. Glad it made you giggle - nothing unseemly about that :-))

Not exactly from the forefront of British technology. Maybe an import? You are right, Keith, in that it makes a good subject for photography, especially against that well chosen backdrop.

My first thoughts were, "What is that!!!?" It does look robotic. Glad Maggsmep cleared up the mystery or it may have haunted me all day thinking we were being invaded!!
