Daisy Jane

Daisy Jane
Sight and Sound

I took this photo and then went looking for a song. Did you know that there are lots of songs about daisies? I finally settled on this 70's hit I'd forgotten all about from the group America.

From their 1975 album "Hearts" - Daisy Jane

or here: Daisy Jane

Love this daisy and the background. What I find about daisies is unkes controlled, they can become weeds very quickly.

Thank you Puchinpappy. (I am trying to figure out if you are making a play on words with my name here or not? ;)
No matter, yes they can sure spread like weeds. Thankfully they are pretty. :)

Wow! So, so beautiful and the composition is inspired! The most gorgeous out-of-focus backdrop. An instant fave for me. And, a perfect musical link. I see Mick says this track is on their 'Greatest Hits' album. I have that album but I couldn't have been paying proper attention because I don't immediately recognise the track :-) I am goin' to have to find the album and listen properly :-)) Thanks very much for posting to 'Sight and Sound', Karen.

Oh so glad you like it so much Roger!! Thank you. I was particularly taken with that green bokeh too. Sometimes you just never know how they will turn out.

I also forgot about this song and thought it was nice to hear it again. I think America's work is pretty timeless.

Goodness sakes, I must keep up with your photostream more often, because you have some fantastic images to look at! As as Sami said, this is an excellent use of negative space and such wonderful green bokeh! :-)
