My gorgeous white rose

My gorgeous white rose
I was given a white rose plant - a mini one - a few years ago, and so I put it on my kitchen window sill. Well it produces around 3 blooms every year and this is one of them - they are gorgeous, but they only last a couple of weeks, so most of the year I just have a green plant enjoying the sun.

Fred Fouarge, Janet Brien, Aschi "Freestone", Andy Rodker have particularly liked this photo

But you know that when it gives of its best it will reward your patience!
Yes. A wonderful rose!
And a good capture of it!

I suppose so, for a while it would only flower one bloom per year, but these last few years it seems to feel it can produce a few more.

LOL your comment made me giggle...you have a green plant most of the year...but you know, the flowers are extra special when they come and rose foliage is quite pretty so it's not all bad!

Your picture is wonderful and does this blossom proud! :)

Thank you for the comments on my charred wood picture, I'm glad you liked it and my insets as well! :) You always make me feel great, *hugggggs*. I'm glad you've not been victimized by fire, it's no fun. But it could have been worse!

The green foliage of the rose is pretty I suppose, but it's supposed to be a miniature rose, but it's getting quite big now - I think I might just see how it likes being outside for a while. When the weather gets warmer that is.

I'm so pleased you like my comments too - I really love your photos - they are so beautiful and it amazes me how you manage to spot those tiny things in amongst the foliage - you must have your eyeballs on stalks!!! LOL

No I can imagine how awful it must be to be victimised by fire - being burned and drowning are my two worst fears (mind you being trapped in a cave where I can't go forward or go back is my major fear)

"...you must have your eyeballs on stalks!!" OMG ROFLMAO, JENNY!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Well the truth of it is that I have horribly bad vision...I'm so nearsighted that I'm useless without my glasses. But I have this superpower which makes it all worthwhile...to be able to see crisp details so close up...I am truly blessed, I know. :)

Yikes your fears give me the heebie jeebies! I can't stand any of them either. But you know what I did once? I went scuba diving with Steve in Mexico and we swam into submerged lava tubes...we needed headlamps to see where we were going, and our guide took us through these underwater caves that emerged into cenotes...caves where birds and bats flew in and out over the water, and you saw pinholes of light shining down along with roots from trees...dripping water...it was like from a movie. Incredible. Only expert divers are allowed to do these dives because there is fine silt on the bottoms of the tubes which will make the conditions impossible for seeing anything if its kicked up. We make our way along by way of ropes in any event but it's better the water is clear.

I thought I'd never do something like that but it was a life-changing reward to go on that dive!

Wow you are one brave woman - to scuba dive into underwater caves via lava tubes!!!!!!!!!!!! That would be such a big no-no to me. It sounds incredible but I've seen similar things on the tv, and that's as far as it goes - I'm quite happy to sit down in my lounge and watch what other people are doing underwater.

You have bad vision???? I need glasses to read and now as I'm getting older - I need glasses to watch the tv if I want to read the text. I used to be able to read a book in natural light but now I've had to admit that I do need glasses. What is your superpower? Your macro lens on your camera?
